５月２7日（土）午後１、おじいちゃんは沖縄県平和祈念財団を代表してサイパン島マッピー岬にある「沖縄の塔」で行われた慰霊祭に参列しました。
Grandpa attended to the memorial service ceremony at the "The Memorial Monument of Okinawa" on behalf of Okinawa Peace Memorial Foundation at 13:00 on May 27th (Sat).


慰霊祭には、在サイパン日本国領事篠田欣二氏、北マリアナ諸島知事ラルフ・トーレス氏、サイパン市長デイビッド・アパタング氏、マリアナ政府観光局長クリストファー・コンセンプション氏も出席されました。
Japan Consul Mr. Kinji Shinohara, Governors of the Northern Mariana Islands Mr.Ralph Deleon Guerrero Torres, Saipan Mayor Mr. David Apatang, Managing Director of Marianas Visitors Authority Mr. Christopher Conception attended to the memorial service ceremony.


慰霊祭は、地元カトリック教会アラン・カバティアン神父による祈祷で始まりました。
The memorial service began with prayers by Father Allan Cabatian of a local Catholic church.
赤嶺昇沖縄県議会副議長、上運天賢盛南洋群島帰還者会会長、比嘉俊雄遺族代表による追悼の言葉がありました。
Okinawa Prefectural Assembly Vice-Chairperson Mr. Noboru Akamine, President of MRA (Mariana Returnee Association) Mr. Kensei Kamiunten and Bereaved representative Mr.Toshio Higa talked about memorial words.


在サイパン日本国領事、北マリアナ諸島知事、サイパン市長、マリアナ政府観光局長による焼香が行われました。
Japan Consul, Governors of the Northern Mariana Islands, Saipan Mayor and Managing Director of Marianas Visitors Authority burned incense as guests.











最後に一般焼香が行われ慰霊祭は終了しました。
Lastly, all the participants burned incense and the memorial service was finished.
